Laser cleaning in food industry
Laser cleaning plays an important role in the cleaning of food production lines. Typical components of laser cleaning include mold, oven, oven, conveyor belt, boiler, etc. Especially for the food industry, laser cleaning has some advantages over other classical technologies. For example, sand blasting, dry ice spraying, pyrolysis, chemical cleaning or high-pressure water or air cleaning.
Short downtime: In order to minimize the operational losses, we hope to minimize the losses caused by cleaning. The machine, mold or boiler does not need to be disassembled. This is time consuming. Chemical cleaning or sand blasting has too much impact on the environment. Parts must be handled in special areas for local cleaning. One of the advantages of laser cleaning is that it can be carried out on site. The pollutants evaporate or fall off, which is easy to vacuum, thus relieving the entire environment. There is no need for shielding or cleaning at all, and we will resume production as soon as possible!
Reduce production losses: restart after cleaning. The first product has not reached the best quality and has not been sold yet. Laser cleaning provides very deep cleaning every time, just like baking in a new iron. Restarting with the best quality takes effect immediately! Higher hygiene: laser cleaning can ensure that most pollutants evaporate, and the remaining dirt is loose and falls off. During the cleaning process, a short but strong heating evaporation will occur. This kind of heat can not only provide the cleanliness that other technologies cannot achieve, but also has an antibacterial effect. Mold and conveyor have never been so clean! Dust will not fly: dry ice blasting is more practical than sand blasting. Because the particles will only evaporate and will not disperse anywhere in the environment. The biggest disadvantage is that grains will “decompose” and pollute the environment. After that, the dry ice particles disappeared, and the dirt flying out of the environment is now everywhere. This usually requires additional manual cleaning to make everything really clean. Or you can use protective foil to isolate the entire environment, but this may take several hours. Dirt will evaporate or fall off from the lower surface through laser cleaning. It’s really empty. It’s already vacuumed, even if you don’t need to record everything
Longer mold life: waffle iron, biscuit mold or oven: they are all affected by traditional cleaning technology. The shape of the mold tip includes sand blasting and dry ice blasting. It becomes mellow through chemical cleaning. Laser cleaning is not difficult, so parts will not wear. The laser beam is composed of 100% light, without abrasion effect. The light reflects off the lower surface, evaporating the pollution on the top. Longer die life! No thermal deformation: A quick way to clean a pile of bread or oven with a laser is to burn it completely in the oven. The disadvantage of this technology is that it will produce thermal deformation, and the mold cannot be used permanently. As the laser beam reflects on the mold or baking tray, the laser cleaning will make the contamination layer become very strong. It is heated, but the bottom is not. The heating of the bottom die is very limited. After cleaning, you can also touch the surface with your bare hands! Can speak. The use of high-pressure or compressed air for cleaning may generate a lot of noise, or even make it impossible to communicate in the clean area, which is not only disturbing, but also dangerous to workers’ hearing. Laser cleaning may emit a slight buzz, but compared with other cleaning technologies, it is incomparable.
Cheaper coating for hearing protection: This coating is very expensive and usually needs to be attached to an incompletely cleaned surface, so a very expensive coating is required. Laser cleaning baking model can reduce cleaning time and make the surface below smooth. Because it is very clean, a cheaper coating can be used. Some customers even completely give up synthetic coatings and only use petroleum. Huge savings!
